Stylist needed In/around London/South East England - Idlewild - 07-24-2012
Hey guys
Does anyone in London or the South East of England have any good stylists they can recommend for a piece cut-in?
Does anyone else have experience using an ordinary hairdresser for a cut in? I'm going for a longish style so I don't think it'd be too difficult once the piece is attached for an ordinary stylist to make it look good.

Thanks Hersute! I realise it's been asked probably a 100 times but I did a search and couldn't find anything!
There is a stylist on the hair4all site that i actually saw on youtube, I think maybe he is a good option , can anyone who isn't a hair4all client go in for a cut in?

I don't really know the answer to that.
But they're only recommended by H4A, they're not suppliers, so I see no reason why not.
They're recommended because they have experience doing cut-ins.
I suppose you'd have to give them a call to know for sure.
Let us know what you find out, especially the price.
PS. I can never find ANYTHING trying to use this site's search option.
Its only because I came across the topic whilst looking for something else, I thought I'd pass it on.

Thanks Hersute, yea I will give them a call sometime this week.Although after just walking around my house with the piece sitting on my head I'm almost inclined just to attach and not bother with a cut in, It's freaking me out seeing my 19 year old self again, albeit a slightly fatter one!

I've been researching this (I'm a Londoner too). There are several hair places in London but they mainly like to work with their own pieces- that's the rub. However, I have found a couple that will cut a Toplace piece for you:
1). Hair Development in Mile End, East London (they charge £50).
2). The London Hair Clinic will also work with a piece that isn't their own but be warned their prices are steep. £130 the last time I checked. http://www.londonhairclinic.co.uk/
I haven't been to either, I went to a place that did a one-off, so to speak, for me.
RE: Forever Hair- I didn't like the cut-in I had there. The stylist used hair-straighteners on my piece! The piece looked terrible. But people seem to recommend it.
Please let me know if you come across any other hair piece stylists.

I used to buy my pieces from Hair Development many years ago.
Michael was the cutter then. I never had my hair cut there but back then, it was a space at the back of the shop and just before the stock room.
It may have improved by it was like a down market barbers and inspired no confidence.
I'm surprised they're charging £50, but by the sound of it, thats cheap compared to others.
I really think a mobile hairdresser would provide a much better service and be much cheaper.
You could tell them your situation over the phone and they could come to your home.
