Need advice - attaching and walking into a regular barber/hair cut place for a cutin - sd79 - 06-27-2012 I've read some people on this board and others have done this before. Cut down some of the bulk off the system semi close to your own hair and attach and go into a regular haircut place for the cut. I'm seriously debating doing this because I can't nail the texturized cuts like I'd like despite being pretty good with the rest of the cutin. Anyone have advice on handling the situation? Tell them upfront? Offer a good tip? Help is greatly appreciated! egular barber/hair cut place for a cutin - Amstat - 06-27-2012 I simply looked online for a salon that specializes in womens wigs, as well as regular haircuts. The blending is really no different than a regular haircut. The woman I settled on did not believe it was a piece until she really got into the cut, dug around and found an edge. That's how good these pieces look. It cost me 14 dollars plus tip. RE: egular barber/hair cut place for a cutin - Hersute - 06-27-2012 You could always get a mobile hairdresser to come to your home to do a cut-in. Cheaper than a specialist salon and you'd have all the privacy you may want. RE: egular barber/hair cut place for a cutin - fate - 06-27-2012 I'm planning to do this with the two full caps I have ordered, although I don't want to walk into a salon with the wig on - would rather use a mobile hairdresser, as Hersute suggested. I do a lot of investigation in the beginning as to weither they are comfortable cutting a hairpiece. I make an appointment. Have them work on me in the back most station has worked for me over the past 8 years.
