TopLace Hairline PICS - HairFanatic - 03-08-2012 Hey Guys, I just received my first TopLace order and thought I would share my experience with you, who knows maybe this will help someone out. Lets begin with the specs on the order: - TL550 (SFS hairline and french lace base with 3/4 poly around the sides) - 8x10 A front curvature - #6 medium brown - no gray - freestyle - Medium Density 65% - Straight Wave - 4" length Custom Options: One inch of 22R Blonde along the front hairline. *This way you won't have to worry about the knots not being bleached First thing I did was slap on the piece to make sure everything looked right. I have to admit I actually didn't mind the blonde. Taped the piece to my head, and trimmed the bangs. Dampened hair, and slicked back to prepare for dying. I used a light brown dye from Wal-mart, It was called Garnier Belle Color. I applied the dye to a comb and carefully combed it through the blonde hair, then I took a small mascara brush to apply the dye to the roots of the hairline so I wouldn't get any on the lace. Total dye time was approximately 7 minutes. Rinsed the dye out of the piece and then used some ORWG on the hairline, you can't go wrong with that glue. I used a Robocut to cut-in the piece then some thinning shears to blend along the sides, I then styled it. Thanks for reading, also I want to add that I'm still very new to the hair system experience, so any advice that you guys have for me would be much appreciated! RE: TopLace Hairline PICS - sagem - 03-08-2012 Excellent post have to say, not sure you need any advice as it looks superb . RE: TopLace Hairline PICS - Xeon005 - 03-08-2012 very well done.. One of my biggest questions though.. how does blonde fronts look with dark hair.. does it give an orange glow on the hairline? So far no orange glow for me, the blonde just adds to the illusion of the hair growing out of your scalp. RE: TopLace Hairline PICS - JRob - 03-08-2012 Excellent job! And it only gets better from here on out. Good job on the pics as well RE: TopLace Hairline PICS - HairFanatic - 03-08-2012 Thanks Jrob, appreciate it! your dvd has helped me a ton. I'll probably be taking your full cap approach on my next order since my sides are slowly starting to thin. RE: TopLace Hairline PICS - egghead - 03-08-2012 I like the style you have here...what type of product are you using? RE: TopLace Hairline PICS - lzlmt - 03-08-2012 WOW! RE: TopLace Hairline PICS - Paul In Ireland - 03-08-2012 Really nice job and great pic-quality too. Very natural -looking.....enjoy! RE: TopLace Hairline PICS - noneother - 03-09-2012 is this your first piece, if so, how do you accurately shave the part of your head where the system will sit?? can you elaborate on the dying process a bit more Hairfanatic? is it easier to dye it while on your head or when the unit is off? |
