skin damage - andrei_eremenko - 04-12-2011 I've read somewhere that because of glues and tapes some people had the skin damaged after they've worn hair for several years...it is that true? RE: skin damage - Paul In Ireland - 04-12-2011 First I ever heard of it...guess it`s down to regular cleaning/hygiene etc...... I`m wearing 15 yrs or so and the only time I had any skin problems was when wearing an all-poly system courtesy of a `Salon`/club and the thing was left stuck on for 3 weeks or more.....not too clever. Paul. RE: skin damage - andrei_eremenko - 04-12-2011 it was on a forum...but I thin that person were a club client... RE: skin damage - Biltmore602 - 04-12-2011 I wouldn't be surprised if some portion of people had non permanent skin damage after long term usage. But I also think that would be a small percentage of people and most likely related to hygiene and skin irritation from long term wear and adhesive removal. I have only been wearing for 4 months now, and the only irritation I have is from when I had problem getting the ghost bond off of a couple areas and really had to scrub at it. That was fixed by finally finding a good adhesive remover that took it off super easily. Can't speak to usage over years though of course RE: skin damage - andrei_eremenko - 04-12-2011 what adhesive remover do you use? RE: skin damage - Biltmore602 - 04-12-2011 Its going to sound funny, but was recommended by the girl that does my bond and de bond. I use de-solv-it. Its 100% organic and biodegradable, and safe to use on skin and hair. Gets adhesive off very easily.... http://www.dtep.com/ds22608.htm RE: skin damage - Biltmore602 - 04-13-2011 (04-12-2011, 08:56 PM)timguyperson Wrote:(04-12-2011, 11:38 AM)Biltmore602 Wrote: Its going to sound funny, but was recommended by the girl that does my bond and de bond. RE: skin damage - Paul In Ireland - 04-13-2011 There are many products besides `pure`..the citrus-based ones are particularly good. Another citrus-based one is ``remove``..excellent product. Paul. |
