Shatner - Edward Katz Hair Design - Bangless - 03-07-2011

There seems to be endless curiosity and speculation about William Shatner's hair. Of course he's wearing, he has been for decades -- though he's never admitted to it. I've been more impressed than not by the pieces he's been wearing over the past 10 years or so, the very close-cropped ones, and read a web blog which identifies the manufacturer: http://www.edwardkatzhairdesign.com/

According to what I read, wearers shave most of their remaining hair, so it's a 3/4 system. They're very expensive and customers are required to purchase two units for a total of around $6K.

why does it always have to be a hair system with celebrities. they have a boat load of money it could be cosmetic concealers and transplants for all we know
and all shit like this does is make the general population more aware of our secrets. you guys seem to love talking about celebrities who might wear hair with photos, but you don't realize that this kind of shit being public ends up hurting us. I don't want the average joe to know about lace pieces lol. the less people know about hair systems the less chance their eye is going to pick up anything

I agree Xeon005... Who cares who wears hair and who doesn't?? I wear hair to feel better about myself and it makes me look better too..LOL Does wearing hair make me or anybody else a bad person or change who we are?...NO We do it for ourselves. Wearing hair is no different than a woman wearing fake eyelashes and fake fingernails... or wearing glasses. It is what it is.

Fashion is insane. There is one look that is weird, mostly indie kids wearing massive glasses (that dont need glasses) to look nerdy. Insane!

The good news is: it usually takes the general population a couple of decades to catch on to stuff like this. Secondly, I don't necessarily think people will retain the same attitude towards hairpieces as they have in the past. ie. Last week, I saw John Travolta on the cover of a tabloid with two different photos. One with wig, the other without. The cover basically just said "John caught without his wig!". Never seem him get dogged for wearing one in the first place. He got dogged for NOT wearing it.
