I have still hair on top of my head so it's not a personal experience. Anyway, I think it's possible to make a good transition from no hair to hair:

1)first you need to use dermatch on your scalp like this:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://foro.ganarpelo.org/viewtopic.php?t=16002">http://foro.ganarpelo.org/viewtopic.php?t=16002</a><!-- m -->
it will give the impression that you have hair growing on your head

2)then after something like 1 week, put a piece with low density(+ or - 50%) and cut it to one inch

3) continue the transition with an other piece and cut it longer

4)etc

You cannot go from that to having hair mate, Unless you go with that then wear a hat for a couple of weeks or so then get a low density piece, You just cannot go from bald/stubble to hairpiece overnight so to speak, There has to be a realistic time period.
