Have "before" pics; looking for suggestions! - jb12487 - 01-19-2011

Hi everyone,

I have been a member of the forum for a few days and am starting to educate myself about hair replacement. I am a 24 year old in the early stages of hair loss, but I figure I may as well start correcting this "problem" sooner rather than later. To date, it is mostly the corners of my hairline receding. I also have some thinning on the first inch or so of my temples, which depending on my hair cut can be quite noticeable or not very noticeable at all. Pictures are attached for your reference.

Rather than me ask about a specific hair piece solution, I am wondering if any of you have suggestions on how to proceed. I am more comfortable trying this on my own rather than going to a specialist. Luckily, I have a few friends (two guys and a girl) who will help me through the process (read: not let me out of the house if I mess up the application). Provided I can come up with a plan, I am hoping to order something in the next few weeks.

Please feel free to help me out with as little or as much advice as you would like!

Thanks,
J.B.
Woah! Sorry about the gigantic photos.

Can you post a pic of the style you want to achieve?

ok,
I know exactly where you're at. Me 10 years ago. . .
What's gonna happen is you will continue receeding at the front.
One day you'll realize you got a bald spot too like 5-10 years from now.

Dont despair though mate.

For now, you can get a front partial to beef up the widows peak and eliminate the big forehead syndrom.
Another thing u can do is have a ceasar comb down style to conceal your frontal issue.

If you wanna do partial for the front,
SFS 65%
#2 color (dark brown)
straight hair or body wave is ok.
all knots bleached.

You'll do a de/re every 10 days or so.

I agree with balamouti...you`re also very wise to be taking action now rather than later.
Should be very easy to achieve your desired look there..best wishes, Paul.

I also agree with taking action sooner rather then later. The good thing is that you can get the hang of it so that you are better prepared when your hair gets less and you have to be more skilled to make it look good
