Density% - ravid4 - 09-18-2009 I have try out other hairsystem from many different companies and have notice that each company seems to run there own density percentage chart. I ordered a system fron toplace that was 68% which was good for me ,I'm 40, but when i went to another company and asked for 68% it was way to light and was told that i would have to order 90% to egual Toplace 68%. It get very confusing because to get a light to medium from Toplace you order 65% but to get light to medium from others it is 90%. I also aked about the density scale on Coolpiece and was told the there 90% is egual to Toplace 65% and there was no such thing as 68% that the scale only runs in 5% increments so it is either 60-65-70% no 68% or 63% an so on. I also check with HD and they are telling young guys under 30 to order to order 70%. I am in my 40s and toplace 68% works for me and HD wearers mentions 70% for guys under 30 whick makes no sence if I wear 68% and i am in my 40s why would HD wearers tell guys in there 30 to just have have 2% more t Why does everyone have a diffent density scale ? Re: Density% - JamesKennedy - 09-18-2009 There are two scales used. The HEAVY SCALE and the STANDARD SCALE. Toplace uses the Heavy Scale. Coolpiece uses the Standard scale. Not sure what other companies use. Here is a comparison chart: First number is Heavy Scale Second number is Standard Scale 40% 50% 45% 60% 50% 65% 55% 70% 60% 80% 65% 85% 70% 90% 75% 100% 80% 105% 85% 110% 90% 115% 95% 120% 100% 130% 110% 140% 120% 150% 125% 160% 135% 170% 140% 180% Re: Density% - Bunglebonce - 09-18-2009 ravid4 Wrote:I have try out other hairsystem from many different companies and have notice that each company seems to run there own density percentage chart. Hi mate, If 68% from Toplace is good for you why dont you continue buying from Toplace? Just a thought. Re: Density% - ravid4 - 09-18-2009 Hi I buy all over the place, just comparing densitys and like i posted 68% would really be 70% acording to the scale chart like the above post. I dont believe the numbers in between really matter, i think it is either 65% or 70% and since 68% leans towards the higher end of 70% on the scale 70% that is what you would get. Re: Density% - jeffsxyz - 09-20-2009 ravid: in my experience/opinion, trying to order 67% or 63% 0r anything other than 5% increments is crazy BECAUSE you won't get it made that precise...no you won't. Order many and frequently and some will be perfect and other may make you spin your head regarding the density. The most important area to order a less density in my opinion is the crown as the factory seems to go crazy there making it super thick. write back and tell us your experiences with density variations from the same factory. It's just something you have to accept. |
