Quitting Propecia - younggun - 12-09-2010

I've been thinking about it lately.. and yeah. my sexual life has changed to worse in the last months because of that damn propecia...

And now that I am so sure about the HP I don't mind losing my hair anymore, so I'm quitting propecia for sure. Also, the girl I've been liking a lot these past months and I are now together Big Grin and I really like her, I want to be on my 100% with her, but just have one question... Can I quit it definitely?, or do I have to start to take one pill each week or so until I quit?

Thanks guys

Younggun, I have had the same experience as you. I am a guy in my early 20's and about two years ago I went on Proprecia for about a year. I definitely did experience some side effects of the drug and personally I was not comfortable risking my health, even though two doctors I visited told me it was a "safe" drug. While getting off Proprecia I just stopped taking the pills, I did not have to taper down my dosages as you are suggesting.

hahaha I am 21 and this is like the 10th month I am on this drug... and yeah 2 doctors also told me that it was a super "safe" drug... that's bullshit... I am the happiest guy in the planet, so I am pretty sure that it's not psychological.. btw are you 100% now??

tomorry I won't take that damn pill..

Another thing.. anty! paul! mrjoejohn... new friends! i've been trying to do the template but I messed it up..... it's 05:45 am here right now so I'm not in my best.. tomorrow I will do it right and soon I will be EVEN more happy than now Big Grin

cheers
Is this how I am suppose to do it right?, and then painting a line and apply tape, that's it right?

Yeah that`s it younggun ...have you looked at a few of the videos on youtube? There are a few good ones there... don`t worry --we all have to maybe have a few attempts with our first template before we get it to our liking....... it`s a good idea to take a large piece of that clear film you are using, and tie it in a knot under your chin -don`t choke yourself !!---- then you can work more easily as it won`t move around on your head as you add more strips and sellotape. There are a few links there at the top in the ``information for newbies`` with good pics and tips on how to do it .... Paul.

Younggun,
I've yet to hear of anyone that has stayed with Propecia. People have tried it and had no improvement to marginal improvement. But the cost of staying with it and the side effects were just not worth it.
Regards,
John

I agree with Paul and with John.

I managed to get the template right on my second attempt. So don't worry, you'll get it right. Do like Paul said, tie it underneath your chin and don't choke yourself Big Grin

RE: Quitting Propecia - drogster - 12-10-2010

Hi younggun and drew. Sorry to sidetrack. But what kind of side effects did you experience?

RE: Quitting Propecia - Paul In Ireland - 12-10-2010

I`m not a betting man drogster, but I`d put money on it that the lads will tell you that maybe `Viagra` might have been useful to them to counter-act the `negative`effects ?!! lol !! Paul.

RE: Quitting Propecia - younggun - 12-10-2010

really bad erections, liquid cum (sorry I don't know how to say it properly hehehe), and almost no sensations during sex.......

and now tell me that my mind does that.. when I wasn't worried at all about taking the pill..

RE: Quitting Propecia - drew100 - 12-10-2010

Im sorry but what the hell are you making a template to cover? It looks like your going to put fake hair on top of a fairly dense head of real hair. Maybe you should wait a bit
