Pillow in satin or silk? - french_hair - 08-09-2010

Who uses a pillow of satin or silk which has seen a real difference on his system of hair?
What is the difference between satin and silk?
I is not even satin or silk pillow and I wonder if it is important to buy one because I wear a system with short hair.
Thank you

Hello french-hair, Some time ago, John posted on this point. He said that hair tends to get caught/snagged in cotton fibers, satin or silk does not affect it. The result of using cotton pillow slips can be hair -loss from your system. You should apply liquid knot -sealer very thinly and sparingly to the underside of you system when you first get it. This also helps to avoid hair shedding.
Hope that helps, Paul.

Silk/satin helps to prevent friction, but more importantly it helps prevent moisture loss- the worst killer of all.

I use satin, but from what I hear either one will do.
