Clips can be convenient if you take your hair off every night. However, the downside is that clips cause traction alopecia. The clips attach to your existing hair and normal wearing causes the clips to pull out the hair that they're attached to. I always try to tell people to avoid this and go with tapes or glue or a combination of both. Also, clips are detectable to touch. There are some excellent tapes and glues available. They've improved just like the bases have gotten so much better and realistic.
