HELP WITH GLUE - boftrix - 10-09-2009

I wear a lace base with sfs front and ask for recommendations regarding what glue you have found best to use, or best application methods.
So far, perhaps because I have a slightly oily skin? I find that the lace lifts, especially at the front after 2-3 days. I would like to know how to resolve this please, because it's a real pain having to keep 'touching up'. Many thanks, looking forward to your advice

Cheers Tim!

I'll give that a bash; top man. All the best

TIM, can you tell me exactly what brand of anti persper spray that you use.

ALSO, where do you buy Metholated spirits? Not familiar with that stuff.

Re: HELP WITH GLUE - MattP51 - 10-14-2009

OK , did some research. "Metho" is called denatured alcohol in the US. I bought a can of it tonight, but the warning label says "do not allow it to get on your skin".

Also, make sure you are using enough glue. Don't slather it on, but my biggest mistake as a newb was that I wasn't getting enough glue on my scalp for the lace to "bite" into.

Re: HELP WITH GLUE - MattP51 - 10-14-2009

My biggest issue is the amount of oil that is produced on my forehead. By the end of the day its just rediculous. Is it my diet or whatelse????

Thats why I've been looking for something stronger than 91% isopropol alcohol for precleaning.

Re: HELP WITH GLUE - MattP51 - 10-14-2009

Thats strange, my walmart isopropyl alcohol says its use is specifically for skin use. HMMM

Well I did a test area and so far so good.

Re: HELP WITH GLUE - sprital - 10-15-2009

Tim, That is exactly the routine I do. I have really dry skin. I get about 3.5 to 4 weeks between clean-ups. Front lasts about 1.5 weeks with the spray. I work out 5 days a week, go into steam and sauna with some heavy perspiration and it still holds great. Safe Grip is good stuff also.
