Does attaching to your own hair with tape eliminate lift? - Joseph303 - 10-25-2009 A little over a month ago I accidentally shaved a tiny section of my own hair off near the crown of my head, and patched it by cutting out a small section of one of my old units. This patch has been taped to my real hair as it grows back in. I've only been attaching this small piece with blue liner, but I get two weeks of hold easy, and still have to work with it to get it off. Obviously attaching over any amount of length is messy and allows the unit to "wiggle," but what if the unit was attached over 1/16-3/16 of length? Would it give a rock solid hold with no lift, while still maintaing a "secure" attachment? Re: Does attaching to your own hair with tape eliminate lift? - JamesKennedy - 10-26-2009 I overlap a tiny bit with the tape into my hair. Very small though. Perhaps an 1/8 inch overlap. Sometimes it holds to the hair just fine. Other times I have to use a little glue to make it stick a bit better. |
