tape not sticking to lace - Stokely - 12-29-2009 I have a lace unit. After a few wears, the tape witll not stick to lace and constantly stays on my head while the lace lifts off after a day or two. At this point, it lifts even when I put it on and prepare to place it on my head. Is this an oil thing? I shampoo and use conditioner on it so it doesnt dry out, but I know the base needs to dry to be effective. Its killing me! What should I be doing? Re: tape not sticking to lace - ToplaceUSA - 12-29-2009 Hi Stokely, Sounds like you need to clean the bottom of your lace. Put some lace cleaner or rubbing alcohol on a clean cloth and swipe the bottom of the lace to remove anything that could be interfering with you bonding. You could also use a citrus based cleaner like 'De-Solve-It.' Just rub it gently---no need to 'muscle' it. Once the bottom of the lace is clean you should be able to get a better bond. Good luck!
