Aiport-New Body Scanners - lkn4hair - 01-07-2010

I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts or experiences with the new body scanners which will be in use at airports. Will the system be detectable? If it is, will it raise alarm by security and cause them to inspect or have it removed - I assume in private. Just something else to think about now.

Good question. We have a fellow Toplace customer that works for the Dept. of Homeland Security. I'll ask him and post his answer asap.

John

Here's what our Toplace customer that is an employee of Homeland Security said about the new body scanners:

"Feedback is strictly non-attribution.

The scanner technology is not that granular as I understand it. If an
image anomaly is detected, it would be the Transportation Security
Administration's call. However, I would think that a request for
privacy would be honored in this circumstance."
