Why do stylists not stretch the hairpiece but we do? - homer - 10-14-2008 I have noticed that my stylist never stretches the lace piece and still manages to get no wrinkles.. however even with stretching I seem to get some wrinkles.. does anyone else get a wrinkle free attachment without stretching the lace? not sure what technique to adopt! thanks! Re: Why do stylists not stretch the hairpiece but we do? - Tapehead - 10-14-2008 If the piece fits, stretching will distort the shape and actually cause wrinkles. Also remember that a stylist can get the piece applied just right. It's harder to do that exactly right every time yourself---- and just being a little off can create a fit problem whether you stretch or not.
