Dyeing Your Piece - wantmorehair - 12-09-2008
Question for those of you that dye your own toppers or have them dyed professionally. When you dye your hairpiece, how long does the hairpiece usually last before it no longer matches your side hair? I realize there are many factors that contibute to fading but what i'm looking for is some real world experiences. Thanks

I've died a piece with off the shelf Clairol hair dye, and I don't necessarily remember the color fading super fast, but my stylist recommended getting a better quality dye next time. Apparently the higher grade stuff lasts longer.
No matter what you're probably going to have to use a color infusing conditioner from time to time.
