Lace release or Isopropyl alcohol? - GQPilot 737 - 01-09-2009 Anybody got any recommendations as far as choosing lace release or alcohol? Just using alcohol doesn't seem to work all that well with my hair density. (I've used 90-100%). Thinking of trying lace release. Re: Lace release or Isopropyl alcohol? - TomBongi - 01-09-2009 "Lace release" IS 100% isopropyl alcohol. I have both and cannot see or smell any difference and the way they work is exactly the same. If not, then it's obviously not 100% isopropyl. It might contain 100% isopropyl, but in total it's not 100% isopropyl. Thinking of trying lace release. - What density is the unit ? - How are you applying the alcohol ? - What attachment method(s) are you using ? Fred Re: Lace release or Isopropyl alcohol? - DebbieS. - 01-10-2009 99% isopropyl alcohol is the main ingredient in lace release (not the only ingredient, but the MAIN ingredient). you can substitute 99% alcohol for lace release with excellent results. you do not want to use 70% isopropyl alcohol as it simply isn't strong enough. hope this helps.
