Question about very first unit - snell - 03-12-2009 I will be receiving my first system soon and have a few questions about the first cut in. I have made the template larger than my balding area just for blending purposes (I have really bad hair and having a half piece would not be able to blended into my original hair). As such I will be having to shave my head to match the template. I was just wondering if people recommend that I get a stylist to shave the appropriate area for me or if I should or could do the shaving of my own hair first? Re: Question about very first unit - ToplaceUSA - 03-14-2009 Snell, Since it's your first system I recommend having the stylist do it--you want to make sure that you get started on the right foot. Good luck! John Re: Question about very first unit - JRob - 03-14-2009 I second that. The more hands and eyes you have in the beginning the better. Also, make sure the unit isn't overlapping any of your own hair for the cut-in. If it is too far back when it is cut and you move it forward on subsequent attachments it won't blend properly, especially with shorter hair. Re: Question about very first unit - snell - 03-17-2009 Okay, thanks for the advice. I just need to find someone I can trust in Melbourne to do this now. Anyone in Melbourne that can personally recommend someone for me? |
