I have read a lot about g2bg , but if someone could advice the best bond for skin? Im afraid i wont go down the g2tg route as i like the strongest bond i can get .

RE: Photo of a TL 700 (closeup) - ToplaceUSA - 01-16-2012

I use the Got 2 Be Glued for bonding on a TL 700-New Generation base. If I use a white glue (Base Bond or I Glue) I bond only the perimiter of the NG unit. But I bond the whole base if I use G2BG since it's not as strong. As I've mentioned before, the cleanup with G2BG is just rinsing the base with water--occasionally there's a small clump of the needs a little lace remover. But most of the time all I have to do is rinse the base under running water and it comes clean. If you like a strong bond than G2BG is definitely not the way to go. It's a trade-off, more frequent and quicker bonds with G2BG or fewer and stronger bonds with glue.

Why wasn't LTB's question answered?

RE: Photo of a TL 700 (closeup) - ozziepete - 01-17-2012

Just wondering if some other pics can be posted. Would be nice to see an exposed hairline pic. The photo posted was good but to me it doesn't really show what the complete piece is like.

Anyone worn them in a warm clammy climate.

John can you post some more pics. If you have any showing the hairline and some other pics. Whilest the pic posted is good, it shows how the hair just appears out, itd be nice to see some other pics showing how good they are along with the negatives and postives of wearing such a piece. Ive worn lace pieces for 20years and they work well in hot and humid climates and the tapes work well with them, but how well do they hold up in warm sticky climates.

LTB,
I'm waiting for the factory to confirm the specs and will post as soon as I hear back from them.

LTB,
Here's the specs on the thickness of Toplace's 2 skin bases--the New Generation base (TL 700) and the PSB base (TL 400). The New Gen base is the thinnest in the industry--there is nothing thinner. This is a 'state of the art' base--the hair line just disappears! Here's the info from the factory:

Dear John,

Our New Gen is the thinnest.

New Gen is 0.02-0.03mm.
PSB is 0.06-0.08mm.

Best regards.

Try this base and you will not be disappointed.

John

Thanks John!
Incedently is a scalloped front more advisable for the front hairline?

RE: Photo of a TL 700 (closeup) - ToplaceUSA - 01-19-2012

Hi LTB,
I'm going to start a new thread to answer your question about scallops--it's a topic that deserves a thorough explanation. Newbies searching for information about scallops will b able to find it easier. I'll title the new thread 'Scallops--is this necessary?'

John

John,

Will you have these new gen skin units in stock? Or are they only custom?
