Re: How to keep hair satiny? - JRob - 12-30-2009 The thing you have to remember is that it isn't as much the product that the factory uses that makes the hair so nice when it first arrives, but the fact that the hair has not yet been subjected to repeated washings and exposure to heat, UV rays, and the elements in general. Silicones are very good for the hair, but in order to maintain strength and softness you have to apply after every wash (and sometimes in between). If you do that, the hair will last for a long time and remain nice and soft.
