Template made from existing HP good enough?
I found this link via search for making a template from an existing piece. Is this good enough for a template for a new HP? I have one that fits well but dont want to send it in. Does the curvature that saran wrap method gives matter that much?

Dave,
Yes, that's fine--that's how most of templates that are sent to us are made. We have some people that send in an old unit or dimensions but that type of template is by far the most common. The factory will match the curvature and of course the larger the template the more curvature the unit will have.

John

John,

Thanks for the reply. I noticed that the link I gave has two methods for a template. I'm referring to the second one where the existing HP is used with saran wrap rather than saran wrap over the head. Is this the one you're referring to as being very common and acceptable to use?
