Hair pulling through lace during detachment - s10jam - 01-18-2013

Is it normal for the hair to pull through the bottom side of the lace during detachment? I usually notice this when I remove the old tape from the lace.

Hi S10,
Sounds like you're not 'breaking the bond' well. Please allow the Lace Release or 91% rubbing alcohol do it's job and completely break the bond. It normally takes from 30-60 seconds and the unit should lift off without pulling.

Thanks John. Helpful as always. That's kind of what I expected.

Yes, it's normal and is just one of the downsides to lace.

John is correct with regards letting the alcohol / lace realise have time to fully weaken the bond. If you do suffer hair pull through you can, very gently, brush the hair with a nail scrubber brush close to the lace and this technique can pull the hair back through.
