The leaving it long on the sides was the best option for years as the way they used to knot/ventilate the pieces was not compatable to short styles as they would knot 3-4-5 strands of hair in one knot and the bases would be seen as they were too thick until the thinner materials were used.

Also it is still the best option for newbies who have no experience at cutting it in, Easy when you know how.

xcvq , you are right, there is lace showing in the 1st photo, i can't see it in the mirror though. Gel

Jeff,
The beauty of your piece is that you show scalp. This adds a degree of realism to the piece that no one would guess is a hair piece. Great job!

What is ur attachment method...All glue or tape?

Re: NEW PHOTOS (Short style) - jeffsxyz - 09-08-2009

attachment: sides and back with supertape
front is one strip of supertape and then 1" basebond glue in front of that.

But still you would never spot it in real life.

I agree. This is a hair replacement forum. We are trying to find lace. In real life noone would notice.

EDIT... I see you disclosed the specs. Is it stock or custom?

Re: NEW PHOTOS (Short style) - Mr.NewYork - 09-10-2009

Great job! The key is the density; I know you usually wear mid 50's%, right? With that high density you can accommodate a short cut.

Re: NEW PHOTOS (Short style) - Rod - 09-10-2009

Jeff, can you tell me how you apply the strip of basebond in the front and how often do you re-do the front? thanks.
